The myth of the welfare leech hordes April 18, 2010

So I was flipping through a discussion on reddit.com about the perception that anyone who receives government aid is almost certainly a lazy bum trying to game the system, why this perception is, and what sort of meaningful discussions can be had about the reality of the situation. Here's a series of comments that made me chuckle:
